Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sketor Cyrax (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bartholomew Bampton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cyrax has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Sketor Cyrax has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bampton closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Cyrax quickly recovers to half guard.

Cyrax is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Bampton pulls his head out easily.

Bampton tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Cyrax tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Bampton gets underhooks to prevent Cyrax's takedown attempt.
Cyrax drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Bampton gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Bampton wants to finish this one by submission but Cyrax is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Bampton.

Cyrax tries to reverse the position but Bampton maintains control.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Cyrax tries to lock up and control but Bampton gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Cyrax is trying to escape the mount.

Bampton has control of Cyrax's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Cyrax regains control of the situation pretty easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Cyrax misses with a takedown

and Bampton counters with a nice double leg into side control. Cyrax won't be happy with that.

Bampton jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Cyrax walks away with a smile on his face. Bampton gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Sketor Cyrax has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bartholomew Bampton.
Cyrax looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Bampton is fending him off so far but Cyrax persists. Nope, Bampton circles away and we're back to standing.

Bampton is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
