Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Joe Johnson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Aaron Windham!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Steve Erwin and Summer Carpenter.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson stuffs the takedown attempt from Windham. Windham gets slowly back to his feet.

Windham shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Johnson napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Windham staying calm.

Windham thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Johnson is letting Windham control him for a moment.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Windham passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Johnson!
Windham tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Johnson is squirming around, avoiding Windham's attempts to control the action.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Windham controlling his opponent.

Aaron Windham has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.

Windham throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Johnson was covering up waiting for the punch and Windham finishes the takedown easily into guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Johnson is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Windham won't allow Johnson to sweep him here.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Aaron Windham dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


No luck for Windham with that takedown attempt.
Windham falls off balance throwing a combination
and Johnson counters with a nice uppercut.


It looks like Aaron Windham has been cut.
Windham misses with a left hand
and Johnson counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Windham dives in and grabs Johnson's left leg, looking for a takedown. Johnson pushes down on Windham's head and hops out.
Aaron Windham is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Johnson lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Windham at a distance.
Windham closes the distance and clinches up with Johnson, looking for a takedown. Windham pushes Johnson against the cage but Johnson circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Joe Johnson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Aaron Windham.
Windham looks for a takedown but Johnson sprawls well.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Windham dives in and grabs Johnson's left leg, looking for a takedown. Johnson pushes down on Windham's head and hops out.
Windham takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Windham closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Windham looks to land a strike but Johnson avoids it nicely and regains full guard.
Windham wants to control from the top but Johnson keeps moving.

Windham is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Windham sitting in guard, not really doing much.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Joe Johnson dominated that second round.
The cut man is working on Aaron Windham's cut.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!


Windham shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Johnson defends it nicely.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Windham swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Johnson counters with a nice uppercut.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Windham fails with a takedown attempt.

Windham lands a left and a right that send Johnson crashing to the mat, dazed. Windham thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!


Johnson is rocked!


It looks like Joe Johnson has been cut.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Windham gets a big slam - oh, Johnson is out! Johnson is out! That's a nasty KO!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:06 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Slam). Aaron Windham!
