Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Helio Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Peter Martin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Martin comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Freude schöner Götter Funken kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Martin swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
letting Gracie counter with a right hand.
Gracie circles away from the clinch attempt
and Gracie counters with a stiff right hand.
Martin shoots and misses
and Gracie counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Martin darts in trying to clinch
and Gracie counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Gracie shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Martin napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Gracie thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Gracie has hold of Martin's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Martin tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Gracie cranks the arm and Martin screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Martin, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
