PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kris Pederson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Beaux Lux (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Aleksandr Martynov and Ivan Kurochkin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lux gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Lux looking for a sweep. Not yet Lux, not yet.
Pederson sitting in guard here, content to control.
Pederson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Lux swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Lux pulls Pederson in to control the position.
Pederson postures up.
Pederson tries to free his leg and advance position but Lux is retaining full guard.
Lux has momentary wrist control but Pederson slips an elbow through the middle.

Lux working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Pederson doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Pederson manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Lux wants to stand up but Pederson is controlling him.

Pederson decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Pederson closes the distance and clinches.

Pederson has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Lux is trying to keep an underhook but Pederson manages to get the takedown into half guard.
Lux is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Pederson wants to work for an arm triangle but Lux is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Pederson lands a nice short elbow.
Lux is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Lux wants to control but Pederson is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Pederson is taking a breather. Lux says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Pederson is pressing down on Lux's thigh, looking to free his foot. Lux is holding on for now.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Lux is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Pederson pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Pederson is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Lux!
Lux tries to hold on but Pederson pushes him away.

Lux is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Lux sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Lux throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Pederson on the side of the head.
Pederson looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Lux shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Pederson but Pederson pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Lux shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Pederson pinned against the cage. Pederson gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Pederson is looking for a takedown. Wow, that's a brutal slam - Lux is in big trouble! Pederson is landing strikes from the mount and this one is all over! The ref jumps in to save a confused looking Lux. Poor guy.
