Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Reggie Bear (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Keiji Numa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Numa has chosen You're Going Down as his entrance music. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Reggie Bear!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Keiji Numa!
The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Bruno Hogan and Eliza Hachem.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bear misses with a double jab
and Numa counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Bear misses with a body shot
and Numa counters with a stiff right hand.
Reggie Bear seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Numa avoids the body shot from Bear.
Bear stuns Numa with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Bear misses with a combination
and Numa counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Bear fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Bear throws a left and a right that both miss
letting Numa counter with a right hand.
A left and a right from Bear both land. Nice combination.


It looks like Keiji Numa has been cut.
Numa throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Bear.

Bear looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Numa is fending him off so far but Bear persists. Nope, Numa circles away and we're back to standing.
Bear misses with a wild body shot.
Bear gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Bear.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Reggie Bear. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Bear throws a sloppy body shot
and Numa counters with a nice uppercut.
Numa throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
Numa throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Bear's head.
Numa throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.

and Numa counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Bear shoots in and drives through. Numa sprawls well.
Bear swings and misses with a shot to the body
and Numa counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Bear is defended easily by Numa.

and Numa counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Bear is looking to wear down Numa with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.

Bear looks for a takedown but Numa sprawls well.

and Numa counters with an outside leg kick.

and Numa counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Bear is lucky that one didn't land flush.
Numa plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!

Bear fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Numa manages to avoid it.

Bear avoids the head kick by Numa.
Numa lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Numa swings for the body but Bear moves out of range.
Bear misses the body punch
and Numa connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Bear blocks a head kick by Numa.
Bear throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Numa counters with a head kick. That will keep Bear thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
Numa missing with a left hand there. Bear was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Bear uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Numa.
A big right followed by a crushing left from Bear knocks Numa out cold! Ouch - that one's going to be featured in highlight reels for years to come!
