PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Aonghus Fionn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shane Williams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fionn kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is O Danny Boy. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Williams checks a leg kick.
Horrible takedown by Williams or perhaps it was just good defense by Fionn which made him look bad.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

That was a close round but I would say that Aonghus Fionn will probably get the nod.

Williams misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Williams shoots for a double leg takedown but Fionn sprawls well. He's pushed Williams's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Williams looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Fionn has picked Williams up and slammed him! Williams can't keep hold of the triangle and Fionn manages to pass to side control!
Aonghus Fionn is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Fionn takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Fionn has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Fionn, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
