Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Cahal Orrin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Remy Martin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Cahal Orrin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Remy Martin!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Yves DeLean and Ian Loll.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Orrin doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Martin counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Martin looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Orrin gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Martin counters with a nice uppercut.

Martin throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Orrin tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Martin is in Orrin's guard.
Orrin controls Martin momentarily but Martin frees himself.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Martin is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Orrin doesn't succeed with the takedown

so Martin counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Martin stands and throws Orrin's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Orrin tries to improve position but can't.

Orrin knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Martin on the ground.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Orrin is trying to control Martin's posture but Martin avoids it.
Martin takes a little break here. Orrin wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Sloppy strikes from Martin. Those never looked like landing.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Orrin is wriggling around trying to escape.

Martin has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Orrin's face.
Orrin tries to lock up and control but Martin gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Martin tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Martin avoids the attempt from Orrin to control.
Martin controlling from the full mount.
Orrin is trying to escape the mount.
Orrin is trying to reverse the position but instead Martin has taken his back - oops!

Even with his hooks in, Martin manages to miss with strikes from the back.

Martin is riding his opponent, not letting Orrin buck him off.
Orrin wants to escape the position.
Martin has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Well Martin has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
