Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Shawn Ziribastow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paulo Reyes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ziribastow's entrance music is DEAD STARS. A fine choice. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Shawn Ziribastow!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Paulo Reyes!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Alexandre Firmino and Felipe Paraventi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown by Ziribastow or perhaps it was just good defense by Reyes which made him look bad.
Reyes slaps away a takedown attempt from Ziribastow, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Ziribastow shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Reyes tries to kick Ziribastow off but Ziribastow keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Reyes is doing well to control the position and prevent Ziribastow from advancing to side control.

Ziribastow knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Reyes on the ground.

Reyes stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ziribastow swivels though and keeps the full guard.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Reyes is fighting to break Ziribastow's control of his arms but Ziribastow is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Reyes might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Ziribastow kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ziribastow lands a big shot there that rocks Reyes but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Reyes throws a hook but Ziribastow avoids it easily.

Reyes stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Reyes wants it to stay on the feet.

Paulo Reyes comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Reyes has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
