Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jerson the rock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kain Veldspar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jerson the rock looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
the rock fails to land the takedown.

Veldspar fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. the rock sprawls well initially but Veldspar persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Veldspar takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
the rock flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.

the rock looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
the rock is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Veldspar passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for the rock!
Veldspar can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as the rock is looking to escape.
the rock is trying desperately to improve position.
the rock has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Veldspar wants to take the rock's back but he can't do it this time.

Veldspar jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but the rock manages to avoid the submission attempt.

the rock sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Veldspar prevents the rock from improving his position.
the rock is breathing heavily.

Veldspar is trying to work for a kimura but the rock is defending well.
Veldspar scores with a couple of good hammerfists.

Veldspar prevents the rock from standing back up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Veldspar is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so the rock is just riding it out for now. Veldspar eventually gives up the hold.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Veldspar tries to free his leg and advance position but the rock is retaining full guard.

the rock escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Veldspar gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
the rock wants to sweep here but Veldspar controlling him for the moment.
Veldspar wants to pass the guard but the rock is keeping the position.
the rock is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

the rock wants to free his trapped foot but Veldspar is holding on for dear life with his legs.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Veldspar gets back to full guard.

Veldspar is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
the rock stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Veldspar swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Veldspar closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming the rock to the mat! the rock manages to get full guard.

Veldspar avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Veldspar is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but the rock has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Veldspar is looking to defend but the rock has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Veldspar! the rock pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Veldspar taps out and this one is all over!
