Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Filippo Frullani (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Robert Zhirkov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Frullani might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Elvis Presley - It's Now or Never. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Edson Gomes and Paulo Santos.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zhirkov avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Zhirkov takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.
Zhirkov shoots for a double leg takedown but Frullani sprawls well. He's pushed Zhirkov's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Zhirkov lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.

Frullani throws a head kick that half lands.
Frullani shoots in and drives through. Zhirkov sprawls well.
Zhirkov moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Frullani misses with a two punch combination.
Zhirkov fails to land with a series of punches.
Frullani lets loose with a powerful body kick. Zhirkov will feel that in the morning.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Frullani thuds his shin into the meat of Zhirkov's side.
Frullani swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Frullani plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Zhirkov listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Zhirkov takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Frullani rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Zhirkov moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Frullani takes a jab right on the kisser.
Zhirkov tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Zhirkov throws a combination that misses
and Frullani decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Zhirkov's guard.
Zhirkov looks gassed!
Zhirkov is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Frullani wants to stand but Zhirkov is controlling his posture from full guard.
Zhirkov is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Frullani has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Zhirkov is proving hard to escape from.
Zhirkov working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Frullani doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Frullani manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Zhirkov is looking for a triangle here but Frullani uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Zhirkov is trying to work for a sweep but Frullani has mounted him!

Frullani is looking to take a break and control but Zhirkov is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Zhirkov pushes a forearm under Frullani's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Frullani is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
