Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Masters Max (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rio Dio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Max comes to the cage accompanied by Cypress Hill - Insane In The Membrane. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Max closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Max lands in his opponent's guard.
Max in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

Max stands up from guard. Let's bang!

Dio scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

Max pushes Dio off and gets back to his feet.
Dio is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Max swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Dio drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Dio looks gassed!
Dio wants to stand but Max has his arm trapped.
Dio prevents Max from escaping the position.

Max is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control.
Max has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Dio working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Max manages to work his way to half guard, despite Dio 's best efforts.
Max is trying to stand.
Max tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Dio drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Dio pushes down on Max's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Dio keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Max is trying to stand back up but Dio is controlling him
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Dio decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.

Dio shoots in and bounces Max off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Dio slips nicely into half guard.

Max makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Max.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Max is on top in guard.
Max is looking to work some ground and pound but Dio has wrist control.

Max stands and steps away. Dio gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Max shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Max was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Max stands up from mount. Strange move.
Max throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Max throws a head kick that lands with a deafening thwack! The crowd roars as Dio stumbles backwards and falls to the mat. Max follows into mount!

Dio is rocked!

Max stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing.
Dio is still on wobbly legs! Can Max finish him?
Max lands a big head kick that sends Dio to the canvas! Max follows up with strikes from the mount that forces the ref to step in and stop the fight!
