The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A slow jab from Wichoo misses its intended target.

Wichoo darts in and out, connecting with a jab.

Garcia tries to score a power double leg takedown but Wichoo sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Garcia somewhat.

Wichoo really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Garcia. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Garcia tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
