Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jojit Dizon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roger Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Roger Jones has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jones shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Jones wants to pass to mount but Dizon is defending the position.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Jones working over Dizon with some ground and pound. Dizon looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.

Jones seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Dizon is looking to control Jones's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Dizon avoid being mounted?

Jones slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Jones tries to free his leg and advance position but Dizon is retaining full guard.

Dizon has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Jones can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Jones wants to get up but he can't break Dizon's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Jojit Dizon wasn't doing enough on the ground.

Jones fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Dizon sprawls well initially but Jones persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Dizon is breathing heavily.

Jones is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Jones tries to stand and escape but Dizon is controlling the position.

Jones stands up and beckons Dizon to join him on the feet.
Dizon shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Jones as he avoids it easily.
Jones lands a front kick.

Jones drives through and clinches with Dizon against the ropes.
Jones lands a right hand.

Jones escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Dizon is looking to clinch but Jones is avoiding it.
Jones shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Dizon eats them both and turns towards Jones to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

Jones closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Jones wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Dizon, who protects the arm well.

Jones is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Dizon is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Dizon on the wrong end of some ground and pound.
Jones postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

Jones thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Dizon is pushing Jones's head away, looking to escape. Jones manages to hold on to the position though.

Jones landing with strikes to the head and body from side control.

Jones has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Jones displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.
Jones lands with a kick to the temple. Dizon shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

Jones closes the distance and pushes Dizon back into the ropes.

Jones's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Jones gets control of Dizon's arms and successfully pulls guard. Jones will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Jones manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Jones cracks Dizon with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Jones is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Jones extends the arm and Dizon is forced to tap!
