Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Chan Lei (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kid Gnp (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lei's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Rising Dawn. Kid Gnp is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lei scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
Lei throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Lei shoots and misses
and Gnp counters with a nice uppercut.

Lei changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Gnp looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Gnp is looking for a sweep.
Lei is looking to take a break and control but Gnp is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Gnp can do anything to dispel that myth.
Gnp is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Lei off and has taken his back!
Watch the back of the head! Comes the shout from the referee towards Gnp.

Lei rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
Gnp looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Lei with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Gnp stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Lei swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Lei working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Gnp doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Gnp manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Gnp accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Gnp throws a head kick but Lei moves out of range.
Lei misses with a low kick as Gnp jumps back.

and Gnp counters with a shoot takedown. Lei fights it but they end up in guard.

Gnp is looking to advance position but Lei has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!
Gnp is desperately trying to improve his position but Lei has a good base and remains in mount.
Lei avoids the attempt from Gnp to control.

Gnp is in a world of trouble here. He's outmatched on the ground here and he'd better get Lei off his back sharpish unless he wants to be submitted.
