Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ferris shoots in for a double leg but Spackman sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Good work by Spackman as he checks the leg kick.
Ferris tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Ferris closes this distance looking for a takedown but Spackman circles away.

Horrible takedown by Ferris or perhaps it was just good defense by Spackman which made him look bad.
