Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Julio Montoya (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dick Dickerson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Julio Montoya!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Dick Dickerson!
The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Anni Minnemäki and Arvi Lind.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dickerson scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Dickerson moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Dickerson feints a jab promting Montoya to slip. Dickerson then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Montoya slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Montoya moves to clinch but Dickerson breaks away
and Dickerson counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Montoya tries to keep at a distance but Dickerson has taken the fight into the clinch.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Montoya jumps guard but Dickerson stands there with Montoya around his waist. Montoya gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Montoya fails to pull the fight into his guard.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Dickerson takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
Montoya tries to score a body lock takedown but Dickerson shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Julio Montoya. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Montoya working some nice short punches in the clinch.
Dickerson wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Montoya breaks the clinch.
Montoya looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Montoya checks a leg kick.
Montoya shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Dickerson counters with a series of strikes. Montoya will be more careful next time no doubt.
Montoya is looking to clinch but Dickerson is avoiding it.
Dick Dickerson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Dickerson stuffs the takedown.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Dickerson gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Dickerson looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Montoya is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Montoya has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Dickerson is proving hard to escape from.
Dickerson is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Montoya won't allow Dickerson to get back to his feet.
Dickerson is looking to sweep but instead, Montoya has passed into half guard.
Montoya is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.

Montoya decides to return to a standing position.
Dickerson looks gassed!

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Dickerson throws a right hand that Montoya ducks under and follows up with a left that Montoya also avoids with ease.
Dickerson throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Montoya.
Dickerson is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Dickerson falls off balance throwing a combination

and Montoya counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Dickerson's guard now.

Montoya stands up and waves to Dickerson to follow him.
Dickerson fails to land with a series of punches.
Montoya shoots in for a double leg but Dickerson sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Dickerson swinging wildly here.
Dickerson slaps away a takedown attempt from Montoya, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Montoya misses with a head kick.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Montoya moves in looking to clinch but Dickerson pushes him off.
Montoya connects with a solid leg kick.
Dickerson swats away the attempt to clinch by Montoya.
Dickerson tries for a takedown but Montoya sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Montoya gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Montoya throws a head punch that misses.

Montoya has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Dickerson clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Montoya is working for the choke. I would put my money on him to finish from this position. He's rolled onto his back and has dragged Dickerson with him. Dickerson is trying to defend but Montoya has an arm under the chin now! Dickerson grimaces and is forced to tap out!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Julio Montoya!
