Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Drake Floyd!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Trevor Gratis and Yves DeLean.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

White scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Floyd is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on White's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.

White decides to stand and escape the position.

White shoots in but Floyd avoids the takedown attempt easily.

White gets caught flat footed, as Floyd shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

White is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Floyd drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Floyd jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
White wants to sweep here but Floyd controlling him for the moment.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as White holds on and takes a little breather.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.

White thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.

White had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Floyd is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. White Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Floyd's back instead.
Floyd breaks White's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
Floyd won't allow White to sweep him here.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Floyd fails with the takedown

and White counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.

Floyd is defending against the submission attempts here by White.
White works his way into side control.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
White moves into full mount!

White looking for a guillotine from mount but Floyd is having none of it.

Floyd has given up his back - I don’t know if this is a deliberate ploy to try and escape or if he is just struggling down there.

White has his opponent's back and is working for the choke.
White controlling the position well here. Floyd rolled but White kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.

Floyd tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!
Floyd wants to hold on but White pushes him away.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

White with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

White quickly switches position and commits to an armbar! It's a big risk for White but it's paid off an Floyd is forced to tap! Nice work by White.
