Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between George Tribbett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Smith Wesson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wesson comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Cryin like a Bitch kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tribbett closes the distance looking to clinch
and Wesson counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Wesson drives through and clinches with Tribbett against the cage.
Wesson is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.

Wesson breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Tribbett moves to clinch but Wesson breaks away
and Wesson counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Tribbett throws a left and a right that both miss
and Wesson counters with a stiff right hand.
Wesson throws a nice inside leg kick.
Tribbett gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Wesson.
No joy there for Wesson, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Wesson lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Wesson's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Wesson pushes Tribbett up against the cage in a clinch.
Wesson is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.

Wesson pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Tribbett connects with a right hand. Wesson shakes it off.

Tribbett takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

Tribbett shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Tribbett showed some decent athleticism there.

Tribbett seems to be looking for submissions.
Wesson is concentrating on defense, preventing Tribbett from advancing position.
Wesson wants to get back to full guard.
Tribbett is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Wesson wants to control but Tribbett is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Tribbett thows a big elbow that misses, also allowing Wesson to regain full guard.

Tribbett drops back looking for a leg! Wesson is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Wesson manages to kick Tribbett off! Tribbett jumps back into Wesson's guard.
Tribbett postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Wesson is trying to control the position from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Wesson looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Wesson looking for a triangle here. Tribbett is fighting it but it looks tight! Wesson pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Tribbett is tapping out - this one is all over!
