Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Sir Souza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tiago Fernandes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Seu Braga and Luis Engracia.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Souza wants to clinch

and Fernandes counters with a big uppercut that knocks Souza off his feet! Fernandes dives into side control looking to finish!

Souza is rocked!

It looks like Sir Souza has been cut.
Souza seems a little lost for a moment, as Fernandes dominates the positioning.
Oh Souza is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Fernandes cracks Souza with an elbow. That is naaassty.

Fernandes stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Fernandes will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Souza seems to have got his legs back now.
Fernandes tries to land a body kick
and Souza counters with a head kick. That will keep Fernandes thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!

Souza moves to clinch but Fernandes breaks away
and Fernandes counters with a slapping leg kick.
Souza buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

Fernandes pulls guard effortlessly.
Fernandes thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.

Fernandes uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Souza is breathing heavily.
Fernandes lands with a kick to the ribs.
Fernandes misses with a wild combination.

Fernandes instigates a clinch.

Fernandes drags the fight down to the ground.
Fernandes manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Souza manages to get himself to full guard.

Fernandes distracts Souza with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

Fernandes stands and steps away. Souza gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Fernandes gets control of Souza's arms and successfully pulls guard. Fernandes will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Fernandes pulls Souza in close to prevent any damage.

Fernandes throws a couple of heel strikes.
Souza wants to control from the top but Fernandes keeps moving.
Fernandes manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Souza manages to get himself to full guard.

Fernandes is working Souza over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Fernandes works over Souza with some ground and pound from guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Fernandes chips away with some ground and pound.

Fernandes stands up and waves to Souza to follow him.

and Fernandes counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Fernandes.

Fernandes jumps guard and drags Souza to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Fernandes bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Souza's guard.

Souza moves out of range as Fernandes throws a body kick.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Fernandes manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Fernandes fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Souza, pushing him back against the cage.

Fernandes manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Fernandes is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Souza looks like he's trying to stand up.
Fernandes is nestled in close to Souza, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Fernandes is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Fernandes lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Souza has hold of Fernandes's hands but Fernandes slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Fernandes takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Fernandes working over Souza with some ground and pound. Souza looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Souza knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Fernandes on the ground.

Fernandes winds up and cracks Souza with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Fernandes has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Souza tries to hold on but Fernandes pushes him away.
Tiago Fernandes has got the better of the ground game so far.

Fernandes has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Souza's face.
Fernandes has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
BOOM! Fernandes connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Fernandes throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Souza has his hands clasped together but Fernandes breaks the hold and Souza is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Fernandes!
