Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cain Marko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eddie Rodriguez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Marko comes to the cage accompanied by Unstoppable-E.S. Posthumus. Rodriguez comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Anxiety kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

13 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Eddie Rodriguez!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Cecil Peabody and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Marko uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Rodriguez.
Rodriguez throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Marko counters with a nice uppercut.
Marko bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Rodriguez's head.
Rodriguez misses with a low kick.
Excellent takedown into side control there by Marko.
Rodriguez is trying to control Marko's posture but Marko avoids it.
Rodriguez gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Rodriguez looks like he's trying to stand up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Marko is stalling here. Rodriguez is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Marko seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Rodriguez has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
Rodriguez tries to stand but Marko is controlling his head.
Marko tries to buck Rodriguez off but Rodriguez is having none of it.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Rodriguez wants to take a breather but Marko manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Rodriguez.
Rodriguez is looking to stand up but Marko won't let him.
Marko is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Marko has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Marko keeping moving, preventing Rodriguez from controlling successfully.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Marko holds on and takes a little breather.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Eddie Rodriguez hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Marko cracks Rodriguez with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Rodriguez avoids a punch combination nicely.
Marko comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Rodriguez tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Rodriguez looks gassed!
Rodriguez throws a left and a right that both miss
and Marko counters with a straight right hand.
Marko scores with a nice head shot.
Marko connects with a body shot.
Rodriguez takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Marko ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Rodriguez takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Good exchange - Marko coming out on top.
Rodriguez is rocked!
Marko cracks Rodriguez on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Rodriguez falls backwards against the cage. Marko follows up with more strikes that drop Rodriguez to his knees. Marko keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Rodriguez! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:48 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Cain Marko!
