Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between El Loco (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Georges Laraque (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, El Loco!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Georges Laraque!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Alec Ball and Steve Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Laraque lands a lovely overhand right.

and Laraque decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Loco's guard.

It looks like Laraque might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for El Loco. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Laraque slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Loco will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Loco is breathing heavily.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Let's hope that Laraque has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!


Loco takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

Well Laraque has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
