Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Charles Franklin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jorge Urbonas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Urbonas has chosen "Stranglehold" by Ted Nugent as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Charles Franklin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jorge Urbonas!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Yuuki Gou and Yasuomi Hirokawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Franklin with a poor takedown
and Urbonas counters with a nice uppercut.
Urbonas displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.
Franklin doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Urbonas counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Franklin might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Franklin throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Urbonas passes into half guard under a barage of strikes.
Urbonas blocks the strikes from Franklin.
Urbonas seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Franklin does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Urbonas seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Franklin throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Jorge Urbonas has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Urbonas scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Urbonas wants to control but Franklin is keeping him busy.

Urbonas tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Franklin tries to bench press Urbonas off him but Urbonas keeps the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
A lull in the action here as Urbonas stalls from top position.
Let's hope that Urbonas has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Urbonas is looking to take a break and control but Franklin is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Franklin tries to improve position but can't.
Urbonas tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Urbonas thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Franklin is looking for a sweep.
Franklin sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Franklin is refusing to be controlled, as Urbonas sits in half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Franklin trying to get back to full guard but Urbonas takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount!
Urbonas tries to control but Franklin wriggling away.
Franklin wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back.
Urbonas keeps control of the position as Franklin tries to break free.
Oooh a big shot gets through from Urbonas. Many more shots like that and the referee will have to think about stepping in!
Urbonas is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Urbonas looking for the choke but no joy.
You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.

Franklin tries to break free.
Urbonas struggling to keep hold of the position.
Franklin tries to roll but Urbonas sticks to his back.
Franklin is working hard here to advance position.
Franklin is breathing heavily.
Franklin is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Urbonas.
Urbonas is working for a rear naked choke. Franklin is not defending it well and Urbonas has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! Franklin refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of Franklin's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Jorge Urbonas!
