Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dylan Tahere (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michael Spurlock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tahere comes to the cage accompanied by Black & Yellow (G-Mix)). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Spurlock tries for a takedown but Tahere circles away easily
enabling Tahere to counter with a crisp jab.

and Tahere cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Tahere has taken the fight to the clinch.
Tahere has Spurlock pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Tahere pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Spurlock tumbling to the mat - Tahere dives into Spurlock's guard.

Spurlock connects with a leg kick. Tahere looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.

Spurlock is trying to push Tahere away but Tahere has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Spurlock has had enough of the clinch but Tahere keeps him there for the moment.

Tahere ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Tahere no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Michael Spurlock seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Tahere throws a series of punches but Spurlock moves out of range.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Spurlock must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

and Tahere counters by moving into the clinch.
Spurlock tries to stall but Tahere uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Tahere is on top in guard.

Tahere is working for a submission of some sort.
Tahere is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Spurlock really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Tahere. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Spurlock wants to get back to his feet.
Tahere stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Tahere feints and as Spurlock raises his hands in defense, Tahere changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Tahere is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Tahere decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! And we move into the final round!
Tahere shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Spurlock eats them both and turns towards Tahere to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Tahere tries to bum rush Spurlock with a series of wild strikes but Spurlock uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Tahere lands with a slapping head kick.
Tahere closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Tahere gets to his feet - back to striking we go!
Tahere throws a lazy right hand but Spurlock sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

and Tahere counters with a flying knee. Nice.
Tahere has closed the distance and engaged Spurlock in a clinch.
Tahere has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Spurlock regains guard immediately.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Spurlock takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Tahere stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Tahere has Spurlock up against the cage in a clinch.

Tahere manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
