Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Rich Convex!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Joe Waters!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Andrew Berry and James Ackerman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Waters connects with a looping right hand.
Waters throws a looping overhand right but Convex ducks down to avoid it.
Convex shoots and misses
and Waters counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Waters throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Convex bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Convex ducks under a wild hook from Waters.
Waters throws a hook but Convex avoids it easily.
Convex uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Waters.
Convex defending well as Waters loads up on a big left hand.
Convex is trying hard to land a takedown here. Waters sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Waters misses with a wild body shot.
Waters misses with a straight right.
Waters leaves Convex with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rich Convex. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Waters throws a hook but Convex blocks it.
Joe Waters seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Waters misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Convex.

Convex pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Convex uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Waters.
Convex avoids the body shot from Waters.
Convex slips under a jab.
Waters misses with a wild body shot.
Convex with a lazy takedown attempt
and Waters counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
No luck for Convex with that takedown attempt.
Convex is breathing heavily.

Waters looks to land a left hand but Convex moved out of range nicely.
Convex gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Waters throws a looping overhand right but Convex ducks down to avoid it.
Convex ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Convex uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Waters.
Waters jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Waters just misses with a punch to the body.
Convex ducks under a wild hook from Waters.
Good exchange - Waters coming out on top.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Convex. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.

Waters bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Convex uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Waters.
Convex slips a straight right by Waters.
Convex with a lazy takedown attempt
and Waters counters with a stiff right hand.
Convex slips under a jab from Waters.
Convex shoots in and drives through. Waters sprawls well.

Waters drops Convex with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Convex looks back up at him and smiles so Waters waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Convex displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Waters throws out the jab.
Convex shoots in for a double leg but Waters sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Convex misses with a takedown
and Waters counters with a straight punch to the midsection.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Waters misses with a straight left.

Waters lands a big uppercut and Convex crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Convex looks OK. Waters waves Convex back to his feet!
Waters ducks down into range and throws a picture perfect right hook that connects with Convex's jaw. Convex's eyes stare off into space as he falls to the mat, out cold! Waters does the decent thing and steps back, rather than landing any shots to his unconscious opponent.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:22 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Joe Waters!
