Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Lamar Quinton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zbyszek Cirak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Lamar Quinton!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Zbyszek Cirak!
The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Hirohito Nitta and Tatsuya Matsuyama.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Quinton throws a nice looking combination but Cirak bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Quinton shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Quinton stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Cirak swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Quinton thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Cirak is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Cirak really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Quinton. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Cirak can do anything to dispel that myth.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Zbyszek Cirak hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Quinton manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Cirak manages to get himself to full guard.
Cirak is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Quinton bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Cirak's guard.

Well Cirak has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
