Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mike Kyle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Scott Reynolds (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Mike Kyle has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mike Kyle !
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Scott Reynolds!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Wesley Smith and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Reynolds feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Reynolds stays in close to Kyle 's body and controls the position.
Reynolds's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Reynolds should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Let's hope that Reynolds has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Scott Reynolds has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Kyle swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Reynolds.
Kyle pivots, looking for a leg kick but Reynolds is out of range and Kyle settles back down.

Kyle misses with a two punch combination.
Kyle fails to land with a series of punches.
Reynolds tries for a takedown but Kyle sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Kyle throws a series of punches but Reynolds avoids them all with ease.

Kyle tries to sprawl but Reynolds drives through with a takedown into half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Reynolds seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
It looks like Reynolds might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Kyle is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Kyle tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.
Reynolds slows the pace down in half guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Scott Reynolds.
Reynolds will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Kyle throws a combination that misses

and Reynolds counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Reynolds sitting in guard here, content to control.
Kyle looking for a sweep. Not yet Kyle , not yet.
Reynolds seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Kyle throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Reynolds checks a leg kick.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


A nice inside leg kick there by Kyle . That's going to slow Reynolds down.

Reynolds feints and as Kyle raises his hands in defense, Reynolds changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Reynolds controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Scott Reynolds hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Kyle loads up on a big right hand but Reynolds slips the punch.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Reynolds darts in trying to clinch
and Kyle counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Reynolds tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Nice sprawl there from Kyle as Reynolds shoots in.

Kyle swinging wildly here.
Kyle lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Kyle scores with a spinning back kick!
Reynolds is breathing heavily.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Kyle .

Kyle lands a big head kick that sends Reynolds tumbling to the mat! Kyle takes a step backwards and waves Reynolds back to his feet - he wants the finish!


It looks like Scott Reynolds has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Kyle throws a right hand that Reynolds ducks under and follows up with a left that Reynolds also avoids with ease.
Reynolds shoots in for a takedown but Kyle shows good takedown defense.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Kyle , right into the meat.

Kyle fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Kyle throws a combination. Reynolds tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Kyle throws a nice looking combination but Reynolds bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Reynolds looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mike Kyle dominated that second round.
The cut man is working on Scott Reynolds's cut.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!


Kyle throws a low kick, looking for Reynolds's leg but Reynolds calmly moves out of range.
Reynolds looks for a takedown but Kyle sprawls well.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kyle throws a left and a right that both miss

and Reynolds decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Kyle 's guard.
Kyle wants to sweep but no luck.
Reynolds's corner is telling him to maintain position.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Kyle wants to stand up but Reynolds is controlling him.
Reynolds is stalling in the full guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Kyle here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Scott Reynolds wasn't active enough on the ground.
Sloppy strikes from Kyle . Those never looked like landing.
Reynolds takes a shot to the body in his stride.

Reynolds looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Well, if Reynolds is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

I think Reynolds has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
