Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Saul Tigh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bob Turtey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Tigh scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.

Tigh shoots in for a takedown but Turtey shows good takedown defense.

Tigh clinches with his opponent.
Tigh drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Turtey gets the underhooks and prevents it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Saul Tigh. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Tigh is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Turtey can't fight it off and eventually Tigh manages to take the fight to the floor. Turtey looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Turtey has eaten all the pies!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Tigh stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Tigh cracks Turtey with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.

Turtey keeps the fight on the outside.

Tigh shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Tigh slips nicely into half guard.

Tigh is looking for a kimura but Turtey is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Tigh to get the leverage.

Tigh is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Turtey doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Tigh.

and Turtey counters with a shoot takedown. Tigh fights it but they end up in guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!
Turtey wants to get up but he can't break Tigh's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Tigh has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Turtey doesn't defend quickly enough and Tigh has managed to lock this one up! Can Turtey escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Tigh on a fantastic submission victory.
