Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mikhail Chivitchian (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Longfellow Deeds (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Deeds comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Evils Deeds kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

With a record of 9 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Longfellow Deeds!
The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, John Mangel and Skip Squint.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Deeds closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Chivitchian did well to prevent Deeds getting side control.

Deeds seems to be working for a kimura but Chivitchian defends the submission attempt.
Chivitchian tries to roll over but Deeds keeps him under control.
Chivitchian is working hard here to advance position.
Chivitchian is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Deeds scores with a couple of nice shots.
Deeds landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Deeds is pressing down on Chivitchian's thigh, looking to free his foot. Chivitchian is holding on for now.

Deeds is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Chivitchian doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Deeds.
Deeds works his way into full mount!

Deeds wants to finish this one by submission but Chivitchian is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Deeds.

Chivitchian is desperately trying to improve his position but Deeds has a good base and remains in mount.
Deeds lands a nice shot to the head.

Deeds looking for a guillotine from mount but Chivitchian is having none of it.

Deeds with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Chivitchian keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Deeds looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
Chivitchian knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Deeds on the ground.

Deeds is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Chivitchian can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Deeds looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
Chivitchian is in all sorts of trouble here.

Chivitchian has left one of his arms exposed and Deeds doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Chivitchian screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
