Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Paul Phoenix (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Capelli King (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Phoenix comes to the cage accompanied by Phoenix. Capelli King struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 266.3lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Phoenix darts in trying to clinch
and King counters with a nice uppercut.

It looks like Paul Phoenix has been cut.
Phoenix tries to close the distance and clinch but King swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Phoenix tries for a takedown but King circles away easily
letting King counter with a right hand.
Phoenix tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and King counters with a straight right hand.
Phoenix fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Phoenix changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. King tries to avoid it but Phoenix manages to keep hold of a leg and drag King to the ground. King escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Paul Phoenix. That's going to take a lot out of him.
