The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Murphy tries to clinch but Finkle is having none of it.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Finkle tries to keep at a distance but Murphy has taken the fight into the clinch.
Finkle has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Murphy is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Murphy really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Finkle. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Finkle is looking to advance position but Murphy won't allow it.

Murphy misses with some strikes from the bottom.

Finkle stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

and Finkle counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Murphy's guard now.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

It looks like Scruffy Murphy has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Finkle can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Murphy is looking to escape.
Murphy is still on wobbly legs! Can Finkle finish him?

Murphy seems to have recovered his senses.
Finkle really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Murphy.
