Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Wrockee Jaguar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Scott Harrison (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Wrockee Jaguar!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Scott Harrison!
The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Hugh Johnson and Steve Erwin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jaguar changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Harrison tries to avoid it but Jaguar manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Harrison to the ground. Harrison escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Jaguar closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Jaguar lands in his opponent's guard.
Harrison is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Jaguar is controlling him.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Harrison pulls Jaguar in close to his closed guard and prevents Jaguar from doing any damage or advancing position.
Harrison is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Jaguar won't allow Harrison to get back to his feet.

Jaguar thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Jaguar is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Harrison is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Harrison has escaped and now he's on top!

OK we're going to have a standup here. Scott Harrison hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Jaguar closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Harrison did well to prevent Jaguar getting side control.

Harrison kicks off Jaguar and gets to his feet.

Jaguar looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Harrison is fending him off so far but Jaguar persists. Nope, Harrison circles away and we're back to standing.

A decent looking body kick lands there for Harrison.

Jaguar stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Harrison.
Harrison throws a nice inside leg kick.
Harrison cracks the inside of Jaguar's front leg.
Jaguar on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Harrison. Harrison obviously looking to wear him down.
Harrison buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

Jaguar tries to sprawl but Harrison drives through with a takedown into half guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Jaguar is trying to stand.

Harrison controlling the action here.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Scott Harrison hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Harrison connects with an inside leg kick.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Harrison feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Jaguar's calf.

Harrison throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
Jaguar takes one on the button.

Harrison decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Jaguar tries to roll over but Harrison keeps him under control.

Harrison is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Harrison throws a leg kick which misses Jaguar's front leg but catches the back leg as Jaguar tries to avoid it.

Harrison closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Harrison lands in his opponent's guard.

Jaguar is working an open guard so Harrison takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Harrison throws a low kick but Jaguar avoids it.
Jaguar has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Harrison.
Scott Harrison seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Harrison closes the distance and clinches.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Harrison gets the takedown into side control.
Harrison is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
Jaguar is trying to get back to half guard.

Harrison is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Jaguar knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Jaguar tries to improve position but can't.

Jaguar sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Harrison is looking to take a break and control but Jaguar is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Scott Harrison.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Harrison lands a leg kick that knocks Jaguar off balance momentarily.
Harrison turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Harrison lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.

Harrison throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Jaguar tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Harrison is in Jaguar's guard.
Jaguar is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Harrison gets to his feet. Jaguar looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
That kick from Harrison tenderised Jaguar's leg. Jaguar is trying to keep his angry face on.

Harrison takes the fight into the clinch.
Harrison stops a takedown attempt from Jaguar.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Scott Harrison showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Harrison feints and as Jaguar raises his hands in defense, Harrison changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Harrison does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Harrison lands a nice looking kick to the body. Jaguar takes a step back to recover.
Harrison tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Harrison moves into the clinch.

Harrison drags the fight down to the ground.
Harrison controls Jaguar momentarily but Jaguar frees himself.
Harrison really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Jaguar. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Harrison is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Harrison wants to stand and escape but Jaguar is having none of it.

Jaguar drops back looking for a leg! Harrison is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Harrison manages to kick Jaguar off! Jaguar jumps back into Harrison's guard.

Jaguar won't allow Harrison to get back to his feet.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Scott Harrison comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Harrison has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
