Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ricardo Filho (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Adam Sandler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sandler drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Sandler has gone for a leg lock! Filho slips out almost immediately though and dives into Sandler's guard.

Sandler thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.

Sandler throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Filho escapes and throws Sandler's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Sandler tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Filho wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Filho's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Filho decides to stand up, so the ref orders Sandler to his feet.
Filho connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Sandler shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Filho rushes Sandler and presses him up against the cage.
Filho stalls.
Filho goes for a takedown in the clinch but Sandler prevents it.
Sandler is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Filho pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Filho jumps guard but Sandler stands there with Filho around his waist. Filho gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Sandler has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Filho is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Filho gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Sandler.
Filho lands with a short shot to the head.

Filho ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Filho no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Sandler is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Filho's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Filho's back!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Sandler is looking for a rear naked choke here but Filho reverses the position brilliantly into Sandler's guard!
Filho slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
