The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Gwen Towbar and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alves uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from McKinney.
McKinney is looking to chop away at Alves's legs.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Alves!
McKinney takes a shot to the body in his stride.
McKinney really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Alves ducks under a wild hook from McKinney.
McKinney is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Alves.
Alves lands with an overhand left.
McKinney misses with a hook. Alves ducked under it nicely.
Alves digs a good body shot into McKinney's ribs.
McKinney misses with a lunging right hand
and McKinney takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
McKinney throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Alves counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
This has been an exciting period of action!
A punch lands to the side of McKinney 's head but he takes it in his stride.
A left and a right from Alves both land. Nice combination.
Alves stuns McKinney with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
A combination from Alves does no damage.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Alves!
McKinney dodges the punch combination from Alves.
Alves misses with a few strikes there.
Alves avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Alves scores with a jab to the body.
McKinney is breathing heavily.
McKinney takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Alves lands with a cross.
McKinney takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Alves shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. McKinney eats them both and turns towards Alves to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
McKinney is rocked!
Are you kidding me?! Alves ducked down and unloaded an uppercut from hell that sent McKinney clean off his feet! Someone make me a GIF - that's knockout of the night for sure!
