Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Uki Rini (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and The Kraken (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kraken has chosen Battle Without Honor Or Humanity as his entrance music. The key to victory for Uki Rini has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Uki Rini!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, The Kraken!
The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Arvi Lind and Matti Vanhoillinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kraken shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Kraken showed some decent athleticism there.
Kraken trying to control from Rini's half guard. Rini has other ideas though and has regained full guard.
Rini will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Rini not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Kraken wants to control from the top but Rini keeps moving.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Rini looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Rini utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Kraken tries to move into range but Rini moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Kraken moves out of range of the strikes.
Rini thuds his right hand into Kraken's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.


It looks like The Kraken has been cut.
Rini lands a jab to Kraken's midsection.
Kraken fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Kraken shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Rini as he avoids it easily.
No luck for Kraken with that takedown attempt.
Uki Rini has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of The Kraken.

and Rini counters with a nice body shot.

Kraken shoots in but no luck this time.
Rini lands a nice shot to the body.
Kraken looks gassed!
Rini goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Rini is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.

Kraken walks into a left hand.
Rini is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Rini thuds a left hand into Kraken's body.
Rini bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Kraken's head backwards.
Rini connects with a single shot there.
Rini scores with a three punch combo!


That has opened up The Kraken's cut even more.
Rini really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Kraken moves forwards but Rini connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Rini digs a good hook to Kraken's body.
Kraken walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Rini connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Kraken momentarily.

Uki Rini seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The cut man is working on The Kraken's cut.

Kraken has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Rini finds it's way round the side to connect with Kraken's head.
Rini scores with a body shot.
Kraken's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Rini connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Kraken scrambles back to his feet.
Rini is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
Kraken misses with a left hand
and Rini counters with a left to the body.
A left lands for Rini.
Rini shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Kraken eats them both and turns towards Rini to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Rini throws a series of strikes that have Kraken backpedaling.
Rini cracks Kraken with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Rini lands with a good body shot.
Nice uppercut lands for Rini. That snapped Kraken's head back.
Rini scores with a jab to the jaw.
Kraken has a pretty nasty looking mouse under his right eye.
Kraken is breathing heavily.

Rini drops Kraken with a nice combination! Rini dives into Kraken's guard, looking to finish!


Kraken is rocked!


The cut above The Kraken's eye is starting to cause him problems now.

Rini stands up and waves to Kraken to follow him.
Rini dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

Kraken takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Rini lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Rini scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Kraken doesn't seem bothered though.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Kraken is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Rini.
Rini throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Rini changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Kraken takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Rini lands a right hook to the body.
Danga de danga de dang - Rini scores with a four punch combination!
Rini lands a nice hook to Kraken's body. Kraken takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Rini clobbers Kraken with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.


The Kraken's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
Uki Rini is winning the standup battle so far.
Rini throws a series of strikes that have Kraken backpedaling.
Rini is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Kraken can do to turn this around?

A lazy left from Rini finds it's target.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at The Kraken's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:21 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Uki Rini!
