Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cobb Nash (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johnny Rico (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nash comes into the arena with Dry the River blaring out of the sound system. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Cobb Nash.
Nash connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Rico momentarily.

Nash throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Rico stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
No joy there for Nash, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Nash has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Rico regains guard immediately.

Nash has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Nash looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Rico with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Nash connects with a nice short shot to Rico's temple.

Rico is looking for a sweep. Nash is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Nash lands a nice short elbow.
Nash thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Rico's head.

Cobb Nash is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Rico has hold of Nash's hands but Nash slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
