Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, John Colon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, John Rice!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Robert Twigg and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rice has taken the fight to the clinch.
Rice prevents a takedown attempt there.
Rice throws a knee to the head but misses.
Rice throws a head punch that misses.

Rice's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Colon misses with a two punch combination.

Rice drives through and clinches with Colon against the cage.
Colon tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Rice avoids it.
Rice looking to throw knees to the head but Colon is blocking nicely.

Rice's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Rice tries to keep at a distance but Colon has taken the fight into the clinch.
Colon wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Rice has him pressed against the cage.
Rice gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
Colon blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Colon wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Colon jumps guard but Rice stands there with Colon around his waist. Colon gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Rice's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Rice has closed the distance and engaged Colon in a clinch.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Rice lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Rice lands an elbow inside that Colon shrugs off.

Colon pulls Rice into guard.

Colon is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Rice rolls with it to try and escape but Colon cranks on the arm and Rice is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
