Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Kaimana Kalainawai (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kevin Sullivan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kalainawai comes into the arena with Collie Buddz - She Gimme Love blaring out of the sound system. Sullivan has chosen as his entrance music. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kalainawai shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Sullivan eats them both and turns towards Kalainawai to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Sullivan slips under a jab.
Kalainawai darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Kalainawai throws a hook but Sullivan blocks it.
Kalainawai throws a poor cross that misses
and Sullivan counters with a left and a right that stings Kalainawai.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

and Kalainawai counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Sullivan wants to stand but Kalainawai is controlling the position.
Kalainawai pushes down on Sullivan's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Sullivan is staying active underneath Kalainawai, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Kalainawai is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Sullivan has managed to free his arm - good work.

Sullivan regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Kalainawai.

Kalainawai drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Sullivan dives on top into guard.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Kalainawai working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Sullivan doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Sullivan manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Kalainawai is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Sullivan's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Sullivan's back!

Sullivan has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Kalainawai has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Sullivan taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Kalainawai doesn't care though - he's delighted!
