The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mcghee misses with a low kick.
No joy there for Hanes, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Mcghee feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Hanes's calf.
A nice combination there by Hanes.
Good leg kick by Mcghee there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Michael Hanes seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hanes throws out a loose jab but Mcghee uses good head movement to avoid it.
Mcghee keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

and Mcghee counters with a leg kick.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Mcghee.

and Mcghee counters with a head kick that drops Hanes to the mat! Hanes scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly!
Hanes tests Mcghee's chin there with a solid looking shot.

Mcghee forces Hanes back against the cage and clinches.
Mcghee connects with a nasty looking knee right to Hanes's face.
Hanes on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Mcghee with an attempt at a knee that misses.

Hanes pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Hanes uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Mcghee.
Hanes misses with a shot to the body
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Mcghee connects with a solid leg kick.
Hanes throws out a token jab with nothing on it.

Mcghee turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Mcghee doesn't manage to clinch there - Hanes circles away.
Mcghee lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Paulie Mcghee is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Mcghee feints and then cracks Hanes's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Hanes down.
Hanes looks gassed!
A looping hook to the body misses from Hanes. Mcghee does a little dance to reset his feet.
Mcghee fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Hanes has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Hanes shoots in for a double leg but Mcghee sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Hanes is trying hard to land a takedown here. Mcghee sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Paulie Mcghee has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Michael Hanes.

Mcghee lands a big head kick that sends Hanes tumbling to the mat! Mcghee takes a step backwards and waves Hanes back to his feet - he wants the finish!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Mcghee throws a nasty head kick that just misses. He throws another kick to the head of his opponent and almost takes it off! Hanes crumples to the floor and the fight is over!
