Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Naama Kala!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Alfons Aberg!
The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Matti Vanhoillinen and Arvi Lind.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aberg throws a sloppy head kick
and Kala counters with a one-two to the body.
Kala avoids a punch combination nicely.
Aberg instigates a clinch.
Kala misses with a knee to the head.
Kala tries to land a knee to the head but Aberg blocks with his arms.

Kala tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Aberg smiles and moves away.
Aberg decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Aberg lands strikes from half guard.
Kala is trying to escape back to his feet but Aberg uses the scramble to pass into side control.
Kala manages to get back to half guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Aberg seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Aberg is pressing down on Kala's thigh, looking to free his foot. Kala is holding on for now.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Aberg is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Kala sees it coming and defends easily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Aberg sitting and controlling from the half guard.
Aberg's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Kala is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Aberg slows the pace down in half guard.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Aberg connects with a nice short shot to Kala's temple.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Kala has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Aberg is working away from the top position though.
Aberg uses his free foot to push down on Kala's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Kala.

Aberg fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Aberg tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

It looks like Naama Kala has been cut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Aberg lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Kala hang on?
Kala tries to get back to half guard but can't.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kala is breathing heavily.

Kala wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.
Aberg is landing with some decent strikes but Kala is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Kala is rocked!
Aberg drops a big elbow. That's hurt Kala! More shots from Aberg and the ref steps in! The fight is over!
