Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dante Turmoil (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rowland Edwards (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Turmoil stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Edwards.
Edwards slaps away a takedown attempt from Turmoil, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Turmoil misses with a combination
and Edwards counters with a nice body kick.
Horrible takedown by Turmoil or perhaps it was just good defense by Edwards which made him look bad.
Turmoil changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Edwards tries to avoid it but Turmoil manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Edwards to the ground. Edwards escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Turmoil drops back, looking for a kneebar! Edwards looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Edwards looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Edwards!

Edwards remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Turmoil tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Edwards is looking to take a break and control but Turmoil is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Rowland Edwards showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
