Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Stephen McMurtry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kalervo Paukku (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Kalervo Paukku!
The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Ben Zyskovitsi and Matti Vanhoillinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McMurtry throws a head kick but Paukku moves out of range.
McMurtry uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Paukku has time to react.
Paukku avoids the head kick by McMurtry.
A big left from McMurtry misses.
McMurtry tries a head kick but it misses.
McMurtry falls off balance throwing a combination
and Paukku counters with a lovely shot to the body.
McMurtry misses with a shot to the body
and Paukku counters with a left and a right that stings McMurtry.
Stephen McMurtry seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
McMurtry tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Paukku was well out of range. Poor timing from McMurtry.

McMurtry is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Paukku.

McMurtry works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Paukku misses with a series of wild punches.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Paukku lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and McMurtry has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from McMurtry and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

and Paukku counters with a straight right hand.

Paukku scores with a nice right hand.
McMurtry throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Paukku stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Paukku!
Paukku looks to land a combination but McMurtry avoids it well.
McMurtry swings and misses with a hook to the body.
McMurtry swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Paukku counters with a three punch combo that has McMurtry backing up. McMurtry nods at Paukku to acknowledge the strikes.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
McMurtry is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Paukku.

McMurtry thuds his shin into the meat of Paukku's side.
McMurtry throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

McMurtry swings away with a body shot that misses
and Paukku counters with a straight that turns McMurtry's legs to rubber! Paukku pushes forward with more strikes and McMurtry goes down, battered and bloody! That's a wrap folks!
