The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Massy tries to clinch up but Nepgen circles away and keeps his distance.
A right-left combo lands from Nepgen.
Massy throws a sloppy head kick and Nepgen moves out of range easily.

Nepgen shoots in and gets a takedown into Massy's guard.
Nepgen prevents Massy from getting back to his feet.
Nepgen in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Massy really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Nepgen. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Nepgen accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Nepgen won't allow Massy to get back to his feet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
