The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sloppy strikes from Douglas. Those never looked like landing.
Douglas keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Kyle Buttler seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Buttler throws a leg kick but Douglas sees it coming and moves out of range.
Buttler pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.

and Douglas counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

Douglas throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Buttler sees it coming and avoids it easily.

and Douglas counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

Buttler throws a front kick aimed at Douglas's knee but Douglas avoids it well.
Buttler gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Douglas.
Douglas fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Buttler manages to avoid it.
Buttler keeps Douglas at a distance using the push kick.

Douglas moves out of range as Buttler throws a body kick.
Douglas cracks Buttler with an open hand slap.

Buttler tries to close the distance and clinch up but Douglas swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Douglas throws a right hand that Buttler ducks under and follows up with a left that Buttler also avoids with ease.

and Buttler counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Douglas connects with a body shot that sends Buttler's belly button to the back.
Douglas lands a nice shot to the body.
Buttler takes a body punch but keeps moving.

It looks like Kyle Buttler has been cut.
Buttler shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

Douglas comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Douglas darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Douglas connects with a right hand. Buttler shakes it off.
Douglas cracks Buttler with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Buttler tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Douglas pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Buttler is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
