Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Stevie Why (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dante Evangelisti (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 17 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Stevie Why!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dante Evangelisti!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Stewart Dunkirk and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Evangelisti displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Why.
Evangelisti checks a low kick from Why.
Evangelisti steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Why.
Evangelisti misses with a combination
and Why counters with a stiff right hand.
Why wants to clinch
and Evangelisti makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Why really felt that one!
Why has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Evangelisti.
Evangelisti fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Why has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Why fails with the takedown
and Evangelisti cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Evangelisti lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Evangelisti.
Evangelisti bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Why's head backwards.
Evangelisti misses with a hook to the body
and Why counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Evangelisti scores with a three punch combo!
Why tries for a takedown but Evangelisti circles away easily
and Evangelisti counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Why thinking.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Stevie Why. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Why has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Why there as he acknowledges the shot.
Dante Evangelisti is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Why shoots for a double leg takedown but Evangelisti sprawls well. He's pushed Why's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Evangelisti throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Why on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Evangelisti. Evangelisti obviously looking to wear him down.

Evangelisti circles away from the clinch attempt
and Evangelisti counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Why thinking.
Evangelisti throws a low kick but it's checked well by Why.
Evangelisti throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Why counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Evangelisti!
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Why looking to control but Evangelisti is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Why cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Why goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Evangelisti turns into him and now he's in Why's guard.

Evangelisti wants to control from the top but Why keeps moving.
Evangelisti tries to free his leg and advance position but Why is retaining full guard.
Why doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Why lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Evangelisti!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Why sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Why punishing his opponent with strikes.
Evangelisti can't escape the position.
Why has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Evangelisti's face.

Why get's back to his feet.
Evangelisti feints and then cracks Why's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Why down.
Why falls off balance throwing a combination
and Evangelisti counters with a right hand to the body.
Evangelisti gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Why.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Why tries to clinch there but Evangelisti circles away.
Evangelisti lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dante Evangelisti dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Why doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Evangelisti counters with a right hand to the body.
Evangelisti connects with a solid leg kick.
Evangelisti lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
The fight stays on the outside here - Why looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Evangelisti is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Why rather than just go for the knockout.
No joy there for Why, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Why tries to close the distance and clinch but Evangelisti swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

The crowd cheers as Evangelisti lands an impressive looking overhand right. Why doesn't seem phased though.

Evangelisti moves away from the strike by Why.
That kick from Evangelisti tenderised Why's leg. Why is trying to keep his angry face on.
Evangelisti lands the left hand.
Evangelisti thows a left - swing and a miss!

Why takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

and Why counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Evangelisti misses with a body punch.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Evangelisti.
Why wants a takedown but no success here.

Why has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Evangelisti regains guard immediately.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Why throwing strikes but missing.

Why has gone for a leg lock! Evangelisti slips out almost immediately though and dives into Why's guard.
Evangelisti stays in close to Why's body and controls the position.

Why keeping moving, preventing Evangelisti from controlling successfully.
Evangelisti stopping the sweep attempt from Why.
Evangelisti postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Why not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Evangelisti is looking to stand up but Why won't let him.
Why looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Dante Evangelisti showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

Evangelisti pushes Why back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
Why is working for takedown but Evangelisti is calmly controlling the position for now.

Why tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Evangelisti just stands there and leans against the cage.

Why jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Evangelisti walks away with a smile on his face. Why gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Why blocks a low kick nicely.
Evangelisti misses the shot to the body.

and Evangelisti counters with a nice body kick.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Evangelisti lands a head shot.
Evangelisti slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Nice uppercut there from Evangelisti.
Stevie Why is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Evangelisti misses with an uppercut

and Why counters with a single leg into guard. Evangelisti didn't expect that.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Evangelisti is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Why has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Why looking to sit in guard and control but Evangelisti gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Evangelisti throws a strike but Why rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Why wants to pass the guard but Evangelisti is keeping the position.
Stevie Why has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Evangelisti looking for a sweep. Not yet Evangelisti, not yet.
Evangelisti is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Why is looking to work some ground and pound but Evangelisti has wrist control.
Why trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Evangelisti manages to land a sweep and now he's on top!
Why can't keep his opponent in guard - Evangelisti advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Evangelisti is pressing down on Why's thigh, looking to free his foot. Why is holding on for now.

Why manages to escape and get back to his feet!
Why looks to land a combination. Evangelisti sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Why tries for a takedown but Evangelisti circles away easily
and Evangelisti counters with a low kick, right behind Why 's knee.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
A slow jab from Evangelisti misses its intended target.

And that's the end of the fight!
Dante Evangelisti comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Evangelisti winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
