Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Vic Sommers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cole Elliot (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Elliot is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Party Up. On his way into the cage it seems that Vic Sommers has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Vic Sommers seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sommers ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Elliot moves away.
Elliot avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Sommers keeps Elliot at a distance using the push kick.
Sommers looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Sommers misses with a left hand
and Elliot counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

It looks like Vic Sommers has been cut.
Sommers moves in looking to clinch but Elliot pushes him off.

and Sommers takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Sommers throws a right and a left that Elliot avoids nicely.

and Elliot counters with a big uppercut that knocks Sommers off his feet! Elliot dives into side control looking to finish!
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Sommers is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Elliot's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Sommers bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Elliot's guard.

Elliot utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Sommers is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Vic Sommers overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Sommers tries to score with some ground and pound. Elliot controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
