Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Denny Crane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alanzo Pasqualli (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Crane fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Pasqualli sprawls well initially but Crane persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Crane thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Pasqualli is trying to stand up here but Crane is controlling him well.
Pasqualli is not content to let Crane control the position.
Pasqualli wants to get back to his feet.
Crane is trying to control the action in half guard but Pasqualli is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Crane drives through with a takedown into guard.
Pasqualli wants to stand and escape but Crane is having none of it.
Pasqualli keeping moving, preventing Crane from controlling successfully.
Crane throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Crane controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Pasqualli scrambles and gets back to his feet.

Crane darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Pasqualli is trying to stand.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Crane connects with a nice short shot to Pasqualli's temple.
Pasqualli wants to get back to his feet.

Crane is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Pasqualli is just riding it out for now. Crane eventually gives up the hold.
Crane is breathing heavily.
Pasqualli is trying to stand.

Crane seems to be looking for submissions.

Crane is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Pasqualli defends it well.
Pasqualli looks like he's trying to stand up.
Crane has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Crane fails with a takedown attempt.
Crane throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Crane drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Crane loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Crane trying to control the position from guard on top but Pasqualli is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Crane slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Pasqualli is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Crane is controlling him well.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Crane stands up.
Alanzo Pasqualli is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Pasqualli tries to bum rush Crane with a series of wild strikes but Crane uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Nice takedown defense from Pasqualli. No joy for Crane on that attempt.
Crane misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Denny Crane. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Crane will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Pasqualli lands a jab-cross combination.
Crane fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Crane avoids a punch combination nicely.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Crane.
Pasqualli is pushing Crane's head away, looking to escape. Crane manages to hold on to the position though.

Crane tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Crane has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Pasqualli is looking to get back to his feet here but Crane is keeping cool and he's managed to take Pasqualli's back.
A lull in the action here.
Crane lands a shot to the body.

It looks like Alanzo Pasqualli has been cut.
Crane trying to control momentarily.
Crane lands shots from the back.
Crane tries to get the hooks in deep but Pasqualli pushed the leg off.
Pasqualli looking to stop the rear naked choke attempt by controlling the hands.
Crane lands with a couple of good shots - one to the side of the head and one questionable shot that could be viewed as to the back of the head but the referee lets it go.

That has opened up Alanzo Pasqualli's cut even more.
Pasqualli trying to get back to his feet but Crane is in full control for now.
Crane controls the position.
Crane has Pasqualli flattened out and is raining down punches.
