PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Anderson Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bboy Lilou (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lilou has chosen No Easy Way Out as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva tries to clinch but Lilou moves away
letting Lilou counter with a right hand.

Silva forces Lilou back against the cage and clinches.
Lilou tries to pull guard but Silva holds him up against the cage and eventually Lilou drops back down to his feet.

Lilou is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Silva can't fight it off and eventually Lilou manages to take the fight to the floor. Silva looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Silva might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Lilou bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Silva's guard.
Lilou throws a strike but Silva rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Lilou is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

That was a close round but I would say that Anderson Silva will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Silva is pressed up against the cage. Lilou has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Silva down to the mat. Silva avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Lilou sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

Silva is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Lilou defends it well.

Silva is working for a submission of some sort.

Silva decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.

Lilou tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Silva swivels and escapes.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
