Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Valentin Tesovskiy!
The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Viktor Lagutenko and Illya Tyunina.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Baginski thuds his right hand into Tesovskiy's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Tesovskiy with a poor takedown
and Baginski counters with a nice double leg into side control. Tesovskiy won't be happy with that.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Baginski has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Baginski closes the distance and pushes Tesovskiy back into the cage.
Baginski ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Baginski no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Baginski is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Tesovskiy is aware though and is defending well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Baginski is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Tesovskiy is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Baginski has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Tesovskiy is looking to defend but Baginski has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Tesovskiy! Baginski pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Tesovskiy taps out and this one is all over!
