Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Erik Bombinksi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dexter Rutecki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rutecki has chosen Remember the Name as his entrance music. Dexter Rutecki has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Bombinksi goes for a takedown attempt but Rutecki pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Bombinksi shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Rutecki as he jumps to the side.
Rutecki tries to clinch but Bombinksi moves out of range.
Bombinksi has a takedown stuffed.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Erik Bombinksi. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Rutecki lands a nice shot to the body.
Bombinksi closes this distance looking for a takedown but Rutecki circles away.
Rutecki tries to close the distance and clinch up but Bombinksi swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Rutecki rushes Bombinksi and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Rutecki connects with a knee to the head.

Rutecki escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Rutecki is looking to clinch but Bombinksi is avoiding it.

Bombinksi tries to keep at a distance but Rutecki has taken the fight into the clinch.
Bombinksi seems to have got his legs back now.
Bombinksi changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Rutecki fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Rutecki tries to clinch up but Bombinksi circles away and keeps his distance.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Bombinksi.
Rutecki misses with a wild combination.

Rutecki moves into the clinch.
Bombinksi takes an elbow to the temple.
Rutecki lands an elbow just above Bombinksi 's eye.

Rutecki manages to break the clinch.
Rutecki stuffs the takedown attempt from Bombinksi. Bombinksi gets slowly back to his feet.
Bombinksi is breathing heavily.

Rutecki wants to clinch.

Bombinksi shoots in and bounces Rutecki off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Rutecki kicks Bombinksi off and gets to his feet.
Bombinksi shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Rutecki as he avoids it easily.
Bombinksi misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Bombinksi throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Rutecki's waist but Rutecki gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Bombinksi off to one side.
Dexter Rutecki seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Rutecki has managed to clinch.
Bombinksi is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Rutecki lands an elbow that stopped Bombinksi in his tracks for a moment.

Bombinksi tries to pull guard but Rutecki holds him up against the cage and eventually Bombinksi drops back down to his feet.

Rutecki breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Rutecki closes the distance and clinches.
Bombinksi tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Bombinksi takes an elbow to the forehead.
Rutecki lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Bombinksi backwards.
Rutecki throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Bombinksi blocks it with crossed arms.
Rutecki is pressed up against the cage. Bombinksi has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Rutecki down to the mat. Rutecki avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Rutecki shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Bombinksi looking for a guillotine here but Rutecki defends easily.
Rutecki must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Bombinksi looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Bombinksi had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Rutecki is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Bombinksi Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Rutecki's back instead.

Rutecki is trying to stand back up.

Rutecki won't enjoy being in this position. Bombinksi looking for the choke. Oh... he's slipped the arm under the neck - Rutecki is tapping - it's over boys! Bombinksi picks up the submission victory!
