The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Illya Tyunina and Dmitry Maklakov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kassler gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Gusano counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Gusano could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Gusano is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Mads Soren Kassler seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Gusano connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Kassler shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Kassler was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Kassler has control of Gusano's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Gusano regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Gusano is squirming around, avoiding Kassler's attempts to control the action.
Gusano really wants to buck Kassler off and get back to his feet.

Gusano throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Kassler stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
